Therapist
My name is Andrew Dalley, and I am a therapist with a deep commitment to working with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds. I understand the profound impact that abuse and neglect can have on one's ability to express needs and emotions. Many who have experienced trauma face additional challenges when cultural expectations and personal histories complicate self-expression. Recognizing a problem is the first and hardest step; my goal is to enable you to continue taking steps toward effective emotional and behavioral change to improve your life in the way you desire.
Having grown up with little exposure to psychology, I was surrounded by environments I thought were normal but now see were unhealthy. As I witnessed the benefits of therapy and psychoeducation in my own life, I decided I wanted to provide those same benefits for others who also grew up without that knowledge. My life has been enriched by friends, family, and colleagues from multiple cultures, and I always seek to incorporate a person’s cultural identity into their self-exploration.
Who I Work With: I mostly work with adults and specialize in addictions, high-acuity diagnoses, and trauma-informed care. I am also able to work with adolescents.

Therapeutic Orientation: I use a humanistic, person-centered approach, integrating skills from CBT and motivational interviewing to be flexible and suit the unique needs of each client.
What to Expect in Sessions: I hold every session as a confidential, safe space free of judgment or bias. I operate on the belief that you inherently understand the issues at hand and need a guiding hand to become the person you want to be. I am here to be that guide and support system.

Outside of work, I spend most of my time with my wonderful spouse, walking in nature, hiking, traveling, or window shopping in downtown areas. I also have a passion for video games, physics, and spending time online with friends.
In My Clients' Words: Clients have described me as having a calm and collected demeanor, noting that I am able to explain psychological terms and coping skills in an easy-to-understand manner.
It takes courage and strength to acknowledge when you have a problem. It does not make you weak to admit you need help. There is a history of stigma surrounding mental health that I want to help correct, and it starts with you.
Unfortunately I can not fix the issues ‘for’ anyone by waving a magic wand, I can however provide the tools that may help you create your own magic wand of sorts that you can use to help yourself.
Yes, while I do take multiple major insurances, I do offer a sliding scale and lower option for payments, typically around $75 USD.
Whatever you want! There is always something to talk about in therapy, the best way to start is by saying you aren’t sure what to say. We’ll find the path along the way so long as we take the first step.
I have worked many years in a psychiatric hospital group therapy setting and have seen a vast variety of different diagnoses ranging from addictions to schizophrenia and further. There tends to be a large amount of stigma and fear surrounding high acuity diagnoses, and I am not afraid of challenging those with as much care and comfort as anyone else would deserve.
Your milestone is waiting. Let’s reach it together!
