From my earliest memories, I have been fascinated by human behavior and driven by a deep sense of empathy , advocacy, and social justice. I was the child who asked why constantly- genuinely wanting to understand people. Over time, I've learned that curiosity is my favorite emotion, and the key to understanding why is often found by exploring how and what.
My philosophy in therapy is rooted in-how we heal and what helps us heal. I believe healing happens in relationships where we feel connected, seen, and heard. My goal is to facilitate that connection within our therapeutic relationship, helping you connect more deeply with yourself and the world.
Curiosity has facilitated my continued pursuit of learning and expanding my professional development. Professionally I have worked within the non profit sector serving immigrants, refugees, survivors of torture, and victims of doemestic violence. I have been in counselor education since 2010 and have been actively teaching in the field since 2019 in both full time and adjunct capacities. I have taught most courses within the discipline of counseling and currently serve as an adjunct faculty member at Southern Methodist University.
My Specialties: I specialize in helping couples and individuals work through issues related to sex therapy, sexuality, gender expression, neurodivergence, abuse, trauma, and women’s issues.

Therapeutic Orientation: I am a humanistic therapist with a Gestalt therapeutic lens. For couples work, I blend techniques from Gottman and Imago approaches.
What to Expect in Sessions: I approach all individuals and couples with genuine care, concern, and curiosity. Our work together will be collaborative, non-judgmental, and tailored to your unique needs.

When I'm not in the office, you'll find me spending time with my amazing husband and three children, often at their sporting events or plays. I love visiting with family and friends, playing with my dog, gardening, reading, cooking, and working out. I'm a self-proclaimed foodie who enjoys discovering new restaurants and coffee shops. I can also often be found at a record store or a venue listening to live music. I also enjoy watching football and a great comedy. Laughing and having fun is a definitely a hobby of mine. I love being outdoors, especially near a beach or the mountains, and I place a high priority on self-care.
In My Clients' Words: Clients say I am down-to-earth and real, with an approach that doesn't feel like textbook jargon. They describe me as calm, warm, empathetic, and direct. Clients often note that I am a good listener who remembers the details of their story, making them feel truly seen and heard.

I understand that asking for help is extremely difficult, and sometimes it's hard even to recognize that you need support. I honor the courage it takes to drive to therapy, log on for a session, and walk into the office. I would be grateful for the opportunity to see if we can work together on your journey toward healing.
No but I may ask questions that encourage you to go deeper into a topic or to explain further. I don’t ask questions for my own knowledge- only if they are therapeutic in nature.
Yes, of course! I want you to feel comfortable with me and see me as a person.
No, therapy is a space for you to process the struggle of determining what to do. I will always let you lead in therapy and be a passenger versus a driver. My role is to help you see what you may miss in the rearview mirror or on the passenger side window.
AASECT (American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors and Therapists) certification represents the gold standard in sex therapy training. This advanced specialization ensures I can provide expert care for sexual health and intimacy concerns.
Your milestone is waiting. Let’s reach it together!
